Canadian Points of View – provides balanced information on hundreds of current controversial issues.

For each topic there is an overview, point, counterpoint, a Critical Thinking Guide, and links to thousands of related articles.

Canadian Reference Center - ideal for projects with a Canadian focus.

This database consists of leading Canadian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books.


Student Research Centerdesigned for students in grades 6-12.

Browse databases by topic heading, make use of an online dictionary and encyclopedia, and explore top searches of the day. 


History Reference Center – the world’s most comprehensive full text history reference database designed for secondary schools.    


Literary Reference Centerprovides users with a broad spectrum of information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes. 


Science Reference Center – provides easy access to a multitude of full text science-oriented content.


Gale Virtual Reference Library


A collection of full text e-books on the topics of science, literature, and history.

You can browse topics using the Table of Contents for each book, or search using keywords. 

This resource is a great starting point for research projects.
